Sweet and Spice


Breakfast was simple today: Ezekiel English muffin with dark roasted organic peanut butter and a grapefruit sprinkled with brown sugar.  I love grapefruit plain, but there is something really wonderful about the more sour varieties paired with a bit of brown sugar.

Lunch was some of my leftover spicy chickpea and vegetable curry over whole wheat couscous, a crisp green apple and a piece of low fat string cheese.  I also dipped into my emergency pistachios.


For an afternoon snack, I had two light rye crackers spread with dark roasted chunky peanut butter.


This was a pretty no-fuss sack lunch, and it was very filling.  I often get hungry in the late afternoon/early evening and find myself wanting a pre-dinner snack, but today I was totally fine even though I didn’t get to eat until almost 8 pm!
